Excellence

Certificate in Leadership and Advocacy at LIT

At the Tait this year we had 3 successful Graduates from the Limerick Institute of Technology. These were Barbara Hanley, Brian McNamara   and Josephine Mulqueen. The course they completed was a Certificate in Leadership and Advocacy.

The aim of this course is to develop leadership and advocacy skills in people who have an intellectual disability. This programme is a good choice for those who want to further their understanding of basic human rights and who want to develop their skills in a safe classroom environment. The course was delivered on a one-day-a-week basis over 14 weeks. The participants had a full day on campus in LIT and took part in the graduation service too.

A Christmas Blessing

à ¢Ã¢”š ¬Ã…”The joy of brightening others lives, bearing each otherà ¢Ã¢”š ¬Ã¢”ž ¢s burden easing others loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generousԚ   gifts becomes for us the magic of Christmasà ¢Ã¢”š ¬Ã‚

Christmas by Geraldine O’Brien

Santa has magic dust

To get down the chimney.

Down he goes

With a giggle and his rosy cheeks

And a big smile.

Off he goes to all the boys and girls

Who are tucked up in bed fast asleep

Dreaming about Santa Claus.

But that’s not all

Baby Jesus is born

In the stable all wrapped in a warm blanket

With Mary and Joseph

And all the animals all around him.

Christmas is here!
